SQL Server is an extremely powerful enterprise database system. SQL Server can support hundreds of concurrent users and process huge data volumes quickly and efficiently. For this reason when data volumes and/or number of concurrent users are high, SQL Server may be recommended for your application instead of Microsoft Access.

It is important to note that, unlike Microsoft Access, SQL Server does not have its own User Interface designer. It is optimised for data processing but the client must access the data from a different application. Depending on your requirements, we would recommend either Microsoft Access, Visual Basic or the internet to provide this data access User Interface.
