Since implementation our system has been a
key factor in the growth of X9 Services to become a key player in
the patient transportation industry.
X9 Services Ltd
provide transportation services to hospital patients across the
United Kingdom. They required a Patient Allocation system to assist
their call centre in the allocation of patients to vehicles and to
track pick-ups, arrivals and lost/cancelled journeys.
The MS Access
solution utilises drag-and-drop functionality to provide a quick,
functional and versatile user interface in which appointments can be
literally ‘dragged’ and ‘dropped’ to vehicles awaiting allocation.
The system warns the user if a special need appointment has been
allocated to an unsuitable vehicle (e.g. a stretcher to a car) and
will not allow a vehicle to exceed its capacity. Driver sheets are
produced detailing pick-up, drop-off and special needs information.
A parallel ‘Reception Desk’ system automatically updates the
database as patients are checked-in and checked-out of the hospital.
Incidents can be reported and tracked and detailed MI reports keep
the management up-to-date.
